Reporting & Communication platform

The Fame reporting & communication platform 'emon' gathers and processes reports sent via email, PDA or cellphone and displays the result in graphs and statistics. The platform supports the sharing of files, multiple users, user roles and user permissions out of the box, and can be customized by custom built modules.

Emon is a modular platform, which means it includes core modules to handle all core functions and allows for additional and custom-built modules to extend its functionality. This makes it possible to display and process data as you see fit.

The default Emon theme can be extended or replaced by a theme with your company branding and layout, making the platform part of your public website or company intranet.

Reports and statistics

Emon gathers reports and displays the data in statistics after processing.Statistics are sent in a specific protocol and via email, ensuring a very low cost per report sent. Because email can be sent with no additional cost from various devices such as a PDA or cellphone and from all over the world, it is a good carrier to use for sending a lot of reports per day.

Various protocols can be used depending on the type of data you wish to send. A normal protocol consists of key-value pairs, with one or more values per key. Depending on the type of setup required additional variables can be added to the protocol, for example user- or client codes, dates and access codes for security.

For security reasons the incoming reports can be configured with statuses, for example 'needs review' or 'invalid'. This means they will not be processed and will not appear in your statistics until it has been declared valid.

Because the processing of the data will be different for each project, a custom-built module can be enabled to process and display the data gathered. By default the processing and displaying of statistics is handled by the statistics-module, but is limited to numeric variables only.

Manage your files

The Emon platform includes advanced file handling and allows users to upload and share files with each other. File types can be created and limited to certain file extentions, and file permissions are available per file type and per user.

Files can be uploaded and shared with users and clients. You can search files using several filters, for example the upload date, keywords or owner.

Users, user roles and permissions

Emon supports multiple users and user roles. By default there are clients, users and one system administrator. Detailed user permissions can be set per user, which gives you complete control of who does what.

Logging of events

The communication platform supports the logging of events, for example login attempts, warnings and errors. Custom events can be created and when an event occur it may trigger core functions or functions added by a custom-built module.

The processed statistics and uploaded files can easily be shared with your clients, making Emon not only a reporting and monitoring platform but also a client portal where clients see real-time information about your business.
